Thank You

Wow. I am absolutely blown away by the award notices I got yesterday. There are a lot of great stories and awesome authors recognized in the Light My Fire Awards and the Sunnydale Memorial Awards, so I'm speechless. Congratulations to everyone who won, and boy are there a lot of winners on my flist. I'm blessed to be part of a very talented corner of the internet. Since my flist gave me such a nice gift, I come with a few gifties for you guys.

Thank you for the votes and the support... )
I feel very blessed... and inspired

I'm thrilled at the nominations at the Light My Fire awards. I truly appreciate you guys for keeping my muse fat and happy.

Author nominations for Classic Slash Author, Outstanding Slash Author, Single Design Website, Single Content Website.

Case 1099 on the Docket: Flopping in Public nominated for Humor Slash, Preslash, and Short Slash

Learning Curve nominated for Crossover Slash

Control Issues nominated for AU Slash and Sentinel and Guide Slash

Thank you so very much. Sometimes I really struggle with the muse or motivation, and this is a lovely boost.

I'm thinking about reopening the Rerun Awards. Do me a favor, check out the new rules and the set up on this post and tell me what you think.
Okay, Thoughts Colored Ugly is finally done and I have reclaimed large portions of my brain taken over by a very toppy (if somewhat strange) River. River is about as annoying as Blair to write just from the research I had to do because I do not know as much as either of them.

And I want to say WWWWWWWWWeeeeee.

Nominations!

Yeah, surprised me to since I'm not a huge Willow writer. But "The Slow Path to Fixed" from my Beautiful Broken universe got nominated.

And I got THREE for LC/Experience Curve. Best Long, Best Crossover, Best Slash. *Preens*

Whoever nominated me, thank you and I do adore my flist because you guys are always supportive, even when I do crazy stuff like make Riley Xander's Sentinel.
The Light My Fire Awards are up, and I'm feeling loved. Thank you so much to everyone who nominated and voted for me! It's a wonderful New Year's present!

The Witness
Best AU, Best Multipartner and Kink

Control Issues
Best Novel

And I got runner up to Alyjude for best author.

And congratulations to everyone on my flist who won... Mab, Lady Ra, Panik, Maaaaa, T. Verano, Fluterbev, Jane Davitt, Alyjude, Arianna, Lorraine Brevig, Peter Neverland, Rhianne, Starfox, Snycock and everyone else!!

Wow...

I was seeing [profile] yin_again and [personal profile] janedavitt posting about their White Knight Award nominations, and so I wandered over there to see some of the offerings (which are great), and I found my own Learning Curve nom'ed for best crossover and the original Trickster nom'ed for best Vamp!Xander (although if there aren't more nominations, that category may not fly this round.

Thank you!

I've been taking writing classes at the university thinking to polish some skills, but the muse has been taking some major hits as the professors seem to ask for things that don't make much sense to my writer's mind.  I'm still trying to figure out if I have a prof who is a prof because he couldn't make it as a writer or if I just have too much hubris mixed up here to see that I need to change.  But the awards are a wonderful pick-me-up after a hard week of not feeling quite so solid about my own writing.

Oh, and I want to go nominate, but I totally forgot where to find this story, so I'm announcing a FIC SEARCH.

It's a wonderful series with the five ways Xander and Spike didn't meet, each one completely desconstructing canon.  Sound familiar?
Hey, I got to do something I haven't had time to do for a while now... I ran around and read all this wonderful fiction. By the way, that is my plan for the immediate future--I want to so some serious reading and take a break from the writing. Of course that will last for about a week before my writer's itch hits again, but I have so many little ideas floating around in my head that I have no idea which will win out. I think I will probably finish the Sentinel series "Shadows of the Past," but we'll have to see after that.

Oh, and have you voted in the Rerun Awards yet?  Time is running out!

Oh yeah... I'm done! Now I need to get writing on my new Sentinel WIP, huh. Really, I was going to post a bit tonight, and then I reread it, and now I kinda deleted a big chunk. I'll try for tomorrow.
There are only three days left to nominate your favorite stories in the [livejournal.com profile] rerunawards , so if you haven't yet wandered over and given your favorite author a nomination, time is running out.  The Rerun Awards are for all closed canon shows (off the air) and any fanfiction written in the last two years qualifies (except kiddie porn).

Okay, did anyone miss my Friday icons???  I got caught up in a little project.  There are a lot of people that wander the same fandoms, and I thought it would be nice to have an awards site where different fandoms could compete together.  Maybe some of the smaller fandoms who don't have awards could finally be nominated.  Maybe people could find new fandoms.  The site will feature all television fandoms where the show is gone, but the universe lives on in fanfic.

So, go check it out.
