Summary: Aliah adores the fact that Blair is an open spirit raised by a free-minded and strong woman. However, when she realizes that he is denying himself love--specifically love for his police partner, Jim--she feels a need to intervene. She knows what it is to want something you can never have, and she won't let Blair suffer that way. If it takes a little playing God, she is the woman up for the job.


So, we have reached the end.  Yep, two years ago, this is where I was headed, which is why I was so confused about how she was coming off as a "Mary Sue" when I see her as so very, very damaged and struggling with life.  No magical powers of knowing everything here... more random flailing.

I swear, now Aliah demands to have her story told whereas a week ago I didn't even remember this WIP. It's fun to have the muse flowing so well. Here's part three, and I'm sticking to the prediction that this story is four or five chapters long. Mind you, I love Aliah so much I'm starting to wonder if I don't want to do an original with her.

In my quest to finish WIPs, mostcrazylady pointed out that I had a WIP from 2009 I didn't even remember. I mean, I know how I planned to end it, but I didn't even remember having it out there.  Seriously... I am trying to fix this mess I made. Honestly. Anyway, after rereading, I've decided to do a bit of rewriting of the original character, and I am planning to finish this one. It won't be a long one, four or five chapters at most.

Jim made a decision to "out" himself as a Sentinel rather than allow two men to suffer. However, now that they're heading back to the states, the guys have to make some hard decisions about what they want their future to look like, because they can't go back to their old lives. Even worse, neither of them know the true meaning of the mystical battle Jim and Alex fought. Jim might have won the throne and Blair might have earned his title of shaman, but the universe is not done with them.
