It is way past time for me to put my Moonridge story out there... I haven't wanted to edit and revise, but I'm in an editing mood, so I thought I'd share.

A call reveals a truth about Jim's past that he's not ready for. Blair is enough family for him, so the thought that he's related to a con artist in Tuscon does not please him. Unfortunately for Jim, once you poke the Tucson 7, they're likely to poke back.

Two days, two chapters. I really need to get my writing mojo back. Usually sucky work leads to more writing, but for some reason, this time it led to less.

Okay, it's time for me to clean up all my hanging WIPs now that I have that hard-as-hell 6x6 challenge DONE.  First up, a story I had forgotten.  Vin is an undercover cop sent in to investigate the gangs, kidnappings, illegal immigration, and extortion in Tucson.  He has trust issues, but he thinks he can handle himself... he thinks that all the way up until he meets Josiah, the Vietnam war veteran turned good Samaritan who has taken over a local mission.  Josiah says he needs some help with a little problem.  His problem turns out to be a gang war with a dangerous group of criminals, and Josiah's only help comes from JD, a kid who is barely old enough to be legal, and Buck, a man whose jokes and flirting ways make him seem less than competent.  Now Vin feels completely lost at sea, but he's trying hard to keep up.

I have had some crossover ideas for The Sentinel and Magnificent Seven bouncing around my head. However, I had a couple of issues. First, I don't want to use the original time period of M7. The Old West is not my schtick. Second, I don't want to use the widely accepted and recognized ATF AU where the team is a crack unit of the ATF. I just can't see Ezra becoming a cop, and that doesn't really match how I see Josiah or J.D. or even Nathan.

Yeah, so that leaves me having to create my own mythology for these guys. That means that these seven are essentially original characters because they are only inspired by the Magnificent Seven guys. So, I am introducing the Tucson variation of M7 just so that IF I write that crossover later, ya'll know who the hell these people are. Oh, and I promise to introduce them one at a time (just like original characters), so I don't leave you going wtfffff??
