Okay, I'm starting to get nervous now. I usually have some comments by now, but Lines in the Sand has nothing over at Dreamspinner or Amazon, and only five people have rated it at Goodreads. *frets* This is why I'm painfully shy in real life... I have issues. And I fret. And I worry way too much. And I wouldn't want to be around me when I'm in this mood.

*hugs* I am sure it is as fantastic, as everything you write is.

I hope so. This is the time period that kills me on every release. I should buy stock in Tums.

I, personally, get that feeling when submitting things. Also Tums are good, but I like Altoids better. *G* Less chalky and they have the same effect whilst leaving you with fresh breath.

It's just hard to put a baby out there. It really is, isn't it? At least I'm not alone in the sour stomach department, huh?

It is, I don't think it ever gets easier. I can imagine even authors like Jim Butcher get nervous about reviews.

That would be a good argument against becoming a full-time writer.

It will get better. People will get done with their Father's Day stuff and sing your praises as they should. *has faith*

Thank you so much. If I were a full-time writer, I'm sure I would have a therapist in no time at all

Well, I purchased it. Does that count?

Sadly, I'm working this weekend so I probably won't get a chance to start it yet. :)

I'm sure it's lovely. I've liked all the others.

Thank you so much. Logically I know I should just sit on my hands and give people time to read. Emotionally I'm sort of all obnoxiously fretting right now. It's a neurotic thing.

::snicker:: we all have neurosis, sweetie. I would tell you not to worry (but really you'll worry anyway).

Awwwww. Thank you. I really am not normally this issue-y... just the days after a release. Honest.

I bought it last night, stayed up until 2am (WAY past my bedtime!) reading it, and can't wait to finish it tonight. It is, in a word, delicious :D

I didn't find the time to read it by now but I'm sure you have no reason to be insecure. You are a great author.

Usually, I manage to read things that you make available straight away. Unfortunately, this has been the week from hell, and I've hardly had five minutes to myself (on the other hand, it's been very nice to know that I've got something to look forward to) - I'm sure it's awesome, though!

It's not like fic; book reviews can take weeks, even months to pop up, so hang on in there :::snuggles::

Oh, I know, but usually I have more up at Goodreads by now. It makes me nervous, especially since I did use a post-modern structure in this one with past and present sort of tangled. I just want to know how people are going to take it. *frets*

What Jane said. I know how you feel. I've had three books out in the spring/early summer and one recently, and not too much, just a little sprinkle. It just seems to take time.

In the meantime, I'm still waiting to hear if a little m/f I subbed is accepted.

I'll be buying this one. I think it's a great premise, very you somehow.

It does seem to come and go. Where have you put your m/f in? I know I've been seriously disappointed with the returns at Ellora's Cave--my Dreamspinner work does much better, and I don't know if m/m is simply selling better or if Ellora's Cave is not a good match for my style of writing. *shrug*

I subbed something to the subspace anthology for TEB. They have an upcoming switch antho that also interests me. It's a short m/f story about an older woman and younger man. The woman comes into subspace unexpectedly, and this causes problems for a budding relationship. I kind of liked it since it is different. Wish me luck.

I've done a m/f with LI and have a menage that will be out in Sept but I think I'd like to try doing more het and menage with TEB. I don't know how well it'll do but I really like working there at the moment.

That's good. I really think it's more important to be happy with a publisher than to be at a big one or to have big checks. If you aren't happy, the muse will dry up

I didn't read all the comments, but I will say this time of year is really crazy for a lot of folks! Almost worse than December, if you can believe it! Don't worry! Your writing is awesome and I'm sorry if I haven't commented sooner! I know how much effort it is to put yourself "out there" so to speak!

It will all be good!

Thank you, and you have nothing to apologize for. I get all wired when a book comes out. Putting yourself out there is harder than it looks.

Hey now, don't be afraid. I bought the book on Thursday night and just had the chance to read it today. I really did like it. I like strong male characters in the novels I read. Good believable story line with hot but flawed men. I hate it when they are perfect (cause we all know no one is perfect). I set up a Dreamspinner account. Usually I just buy from Amazon or Ibooks but I now like this better.
I would also like to take the time to thank you for still writing fanfic. That makes me more interested in your novels and much more likely to buy.
I will be sure and post a review.
Hugs Raenae

Awwww. Thank you so much. This one didn't have a beta group, so I was really squirming over it. That makes it especially special that the strong characters came through sympathetically. I wasn't sure how people would take the rather anti-heroic heroes in this.

And I love fanfic. I always will. I sometimes don't have time *eyes my homework pile* but I always feel the love and slip in a little fanfic between the cracks of my life.
