Today’s episode is Home, where Sam proves his extra special powers of getting his ass kicked.
Sam… THANK YOU… You’re finally telling your brother about your prophetic dreams. Sorta. Come on—confess about the damn dreams. Sam reminds me a little of Blair. He talks and talks, but when it comes to something important, he won’t open his mouth.
Okay, now I understand why Sam is slow to tell his brother the truth—largely because his brother is not very quick to believe him, or explain why he’s feeling so emotionally constipated. But at least he backs his brother’s play when push comes to shove even though it has to be hard to go back to a house where you saw your mother die.
Okay, I’m falling a little bit in love with Dean right now. He’s emotionally torn up about his mother’s death, and the way he looks at Sam when he talks about carrying Sam out of the burning building. These two love each other. Totally and entirely love each other. I am definitely getting the soft and gooey center going, and of course the minute the emotions get heavy, Dean goes to the bathroom. That makes me love him even more. And now he’s confessing to his father that he doesn’t know what to do and begging for help. What is it about a kick-ass tough as nails man with a gooshy center? I fall for them every time. Of course, that still doesn’t diminish my love for the nerdy, woobie-ish Sam.
Eeek. The plumber is putting his hand in the garbage disposal, and we all know where that is leading. Watching this show is a little like playing with a Jack-in-the-Box. You know it’s coming, but you end up turning the handle and just waiting for that “EEEEEEEE” moment. At least it gives me a chance to turn my head away.
I’m a little in love with Missouri. That woman is brash and smart and perfectly willing the boss the boys around.
Oh man, they had better get that little boy out of that refrigerator. I am quickly reaching a point where I don’t trust these producers to save the children, and I am not okay with kids dying, not even fictionally. And one more good whumping for Sam. The ghosts do like to pick on him. Are they targeting him because he has some sort of special powers to spot them? And here we go, Sam is getting whumped for the second time this episode.
Awwww. They got to see their mom. Is she trapped r did she come back from heaven to save her boys? And then her destroying herself to kill the poltergeist… are they trying to say her soul is gone or that she severed her link to this world? Sometimes I’m not sure what this show is trying to say metaphysically. HOLY CRAP. Dad was there and didn’t say anything the whole time. What the hell is going on?

Date: 2012-01-31 01:52 am (UTC)And I like Missouri because she's not perfect. She seems to have her own issues, and I definitely think she was picking on Dean because of something in his head, but she never shared that so it did make her look unfair. But overall, I really like the character, and I like this episode

yes great sad character development epi
