I'm late to arrive as usual, but a great start to what looks like a very good story, Jim is in for a lot of surprises I think.
Couple of catches, right near the beginning Blair turns the TV off 'Blair turned the television off and then planted himself on the end of the couch' Then Jim watches it 'He glanced over as people poured off the sidelines and onto the field. Someone had won the game, and he didn't even care who.'
And a small typo it had me giggling '“I could be my mother,” Jim said slowly.'
