Not sure I can wince big enough. An ugly end to an ugly situation. She was using him because she knew she couldn't love him and he thought it was love because he wanted to see what she was doing as all the right signals of love from a demony point of view. Yes, she was trying to deal with a situation someone else screwed up, but she made that monster herself. And she knows about Xander. If she goes all self-righteous on him about what he did, it's not going to help.
