That's a little odd, but then I suppose the prevalence of Spuffy might turn some people off just because there is so much of it, so het writers may feel a need to present a united front. And Gen?? Is there such a thing in Buffy? Even my gen is far more pre-slash/pre-het than actually gen.
And yeah, guys can get jealous and pissy over pretty much anything.
