Aw. I'm so glad I could touch you. It's so easy to get angst by torturing someone or get tears by having a character cry, but I really am complimented that the emotion here could get you. Trista, unlike Xander, doesn't want to fight the good fight to get back to who she was. She's happy now, and frankly, I think she's having the more common reaction to such trauma. She'll learn to bake with Joyce and play catch with Amanda and maybe some day even whisper a word or two, but I agree that she's going to be a woman-child forever, and Joyce will always be her mom. But even though she is not really okay, she is happy and loved.
