I really am trying to show how Xander has been incredibly brave trying to push through feelings of being inadequate, never telling anyone that he is hurting and probably never admitting it to himself. But then, the people he's around are so messed up, he probably never noticed how miserable he was until he did see others being happy. Poor boy. I gotta go fix him now.
