Supernatural, season 8

lit_galThoughts on tonight's Supernatural, and can I just say how odd it is to watch the show on actual television with commercials and everything.
Dean, Dean, Dean. He needs a brother so much that he forms a brotherly bond with a vampire rather than be alone. I swear, he would make a good werewolf what with the whole pack mentality he has.
Can I just say how sad it is when Dean realized that Sam really hadn’t looked for him. We are back to Dean needing a “pack” that will surround him with “brothers.” And right now, I’m thinking Sam is not a good brother. Has anyone else noticed that he has a disturbing habit of doing the wrong thing when no one is looking?
It’s a little odd to have Sam pining over a dog. Yes, dogs provide a lot of love, but he gave up on his brother and then got desperate to save a dog? Yeah, that’s not psychologically unhealthy. Not at all. And Dean hiding his phone call to the vampire… that’s sounding like shades of Sam/Ruby, which does make the brain go to the slashy place.
