And I understand what you mean about some of the h/c rape fics out there. If someone is hurt like that, they aren't going to jump into bed with the first person who offers them sympathy! Oftentimes they can't even jump into bed with somebody they've been jumping into bed with for years. So you're right that there won't be any skipping in the near future, but at the same time, with the love and support of his friends, Xander is strong enough to come back from this.
