For reasons unknown, here it is, Sunday, April 10th and if I hadn't been looking for something else and checked out the Xangel site, I would never have known about these. I was 7 whole chapters behind! Unpardonable! (not your fault but when I find the Deus ex Machina responsible, there's gonna be trouble.)
If you go back a chapter, there is a spot where Spike and Xander are going on at each other and one of them says that perhaps they shouldn't "complement" each other any more. I suspect it was unintentional but you caused me to lose track and roll! To "complement" is to enhance something, such as complementary colors. I think (read: hope) you really meant "compliment" or to say nice things about each other. The idea that Spike and Xander improved each other (complementary) and were aware enough of it to comment on it (I suspect Xander wouldn't know the difference, but William, The Bloody Awful Poet should have) well, snickering is not my best ability.
I am thinking that Angel and Xander have a more symbiotic relationship than anyone realizes yet. They seem to need to be near each other in order to function as properly as they are able at the moment. Can't wait for more (much more.)
