you know I know I know Spike has made some really bad mistakes and he really doesn't understand her - well humans - well souls. And from an empirical stand point I understand why Buffy sends him away. But the fact that he can't understand, that he loves and that he tries so hard makes me hurt for him. He is handicapped, not a physical handicap but handicapped never the less, and despite the handicap he does try. Its sort of why I found I liked Dexter, I swore I would never watch it but my parents watch it and seeing a few episodes with them made me like it, because despite his limitations Dexter tries.
