I'm surprised Xander lasted as long as he did. I was expecting the gunshot when Warren threatened to rape Willow. Hopefully, Xander will come to realise that he killed someone on the same level (or lower) than the monsters he kills every night.
Warren was completely delusional and that's pitiable. He was also willing to kill, rape and otherwise harm anyone to further his objectives, making him more of a monster than Spike eve was.
