Mind wipe Dawn planting the gay seeds in Xander's mind was funny and this made me laugh: If the man was wearing all black, he would be less gayed up, but with his black nail polish and purple shirt, he was definitely on the gay side. And he lived at the number Xander had labeled 'home.' Oh he was so very, very gay. But at least he had some taste in men. This Spike was easily as beautiful as all the women in this room, and this room was definitely overloaded with beauty. Was he wearing eyeliner?
Using Anya's reaction to Giles during the mind wipe as a reason to break up works beautifully. Of course Xander feels guilty, he's really got other reasons for ending the relationship.
Now Xander can focus on Bonnie and Spike can focus on Xander. They're well on their way to becoming a family.
