I'm glad that you see that Angelus is still evil. He's acting in a way that serves his ends, and unlike Spike, he doesn't have those very good memories to pull on, so he's still stumbling through a bit with the relationships. But being in Angel showed him that there is something he wants. Now he has to figure out how to take it.
