The absence of Dru led me to assume this was post-chosen and for a while I assumed Gina was a slayer (plus, flannel shirted man? The lack of mention of his eye(s) soon cleared that one up, but even so, it reinforced the assumption). Even when she arched her neck, it seemed like it still could be, so the shift at the end came as a shock. I liked the world you drew here, it had colour and richness.
