Aww, but you have to continue it! It's such a good opening! Sure, you've done Spike blackmailing Xander, followed by love before. However, considering how protective of Dawn Spike is, and depending on how cute Bonnie is (and how his relationship with Xander develops, and how bad her illness is) he could really bond with her quite nicely :) And with the possibilities of Buffy finding/ killing off some of 'the family' there are plenty of different ways that the story could be taken in a different way to previous stories of yours :) Especially if you start throwing in some of Spike's family in there as well :)
