Whistler was less than forthcoming on a lot of fronts, but I think he could be because Angel just went where he was pushed. This Angel is coming into his own a little faster, recovering his alpha traits as Xander plays beta to him. So, I think we still have some canon stuff to deal with, but things will be very different.
