Wonderful! This was something sadly rare in the S/X fandom, one of the Scoobies grabbing a clue. Willow's relization that Spike has changed, really changed, and that Xander is capable of looking out for himself was marvelous to behold.

Xander being protective of his "pack" is always a pleaser as well.
