Micheal is kinda scary, but you're right that he's a cutie. I'm not sure whether or not Blair's reason for the discomfort will be made clear over the course of this story, but you're right that Madeleine would have noted it and is prepared to use it as a knife into Jim given the right circumstances. These people know entirely too much about our boys, and they are manipulative bastards.
