Oh, he completely needs Spike. Dareh is the kinder, gentler version of evil slaver, and Xander is so tired of fighting and being scared. Spike needs to get the boy and then make sure that the boy feels safe again because Xander is feeling rather vulnerable here. And at this point, I would cheer for anyone who could get to Xander... even Snyder. Okay, maybe that's taking a point a little too far, but you know what I mean.
