I'm glad that you like it. I really do find writing sex just for the sake of sex rather boring (gasp, yes, boring), so I do try to show the more emotional side of it. Spike really has always changed to try to be what other people want (except Darla who he seemed to enjoy antagonizing), so I imagine that having a lover who asks for nothing is a new experience for him. And Xander isn't exactly suffering here.
