Xander is pretty quick to fall into the old pattern of letting the "special" one do the work while he hangs back, but these two see him as having special powers, so now he has to step up to the plate. And of course his animal is a kitty. Dru was nuts, but it was a nuts that made sense if you squinted and tilted your head to the side.
