Wesley does have a backbone under there, and if he's going to need it. Unfortunately, I don't think he's wrong about Angelus. And Angelus would eat Jim before Jim had a chance to even overcome his denial and admit vampires are real. I'm kinda glad it's too early in the timeline for him.
