You knew it wasn't going to be pretty when he tried to say goodbye to Willow. She may love him, but I don't think she's good for him. And yes, Jenny withheld important information and just about got people killed (and did get herself killed) because she thought she knew better. But Giles and Jenny can go deal with each others' issues.
