Spike's unleashing his anger at what might have happened to Dawn was excellent and it prompted a better explanation for Sweet's summoning than we were given in canon. Spike manipulating the situation to his advantage was in character, and I like that it's placed him in Xander's orbit. Poor vampire, he thinks he's taking advantage, but I bet that won't last long.
