::enormous waves of Xander!love:: Why *anyone* would think he's less than brilliant, I sure don't know. Also, I'm thinking this Xander's motto should be something like If you can't dazzle them with brilliance, baffle them with bullshit. Except in Xander's case, he liberally mixes the two.

Some really excellent touches here. Druggie!Devon giving Angel an accidental happy (with green jell-o - I totally love green jell-o, it's my favorite flavor ... actually, green and orange are the only flavors I really like). Buffy's chorus line of ex-boyfriends. Trouble between Willow and Oz. Maternally suspicious Joyce commiserating with Angel as another (the only other?) adult at a teenager's party. Angel getting a point on Buffy with the lying to Joyce thing. The image of Angel and Giles having a tea party together. Clever clever Xander (I know, repeating, but worth repeating). The phone call to Spike. Angelus not recognizing that Xander is, in his own way, just as talented with words as Spike is - maybe a bit more talented.

And Xander deciding that, one way or another, his Angel is gonna be drinking human blood again - and teaming up with Angelus to ensure it. Maybe they can eventually go on weekend trips to LA so Angelus can do some hunting of the evil and wicked and sinful bad people....

*bounce* Spike's coming back to town. Yay! And we're heading towards the whole Mayor thingee. Cool.

Xander threatened Angelus with a rat blood diet. ::wheezes from laughing::

And next up, post-drug!happy fall-out. And new levels of Angel angst. And Xander possibly finally being driven to whack Angel upside the head with a brick to get his head on straight. (Has mental image of old M Python routine with someone, a nurse maybe?, trying to get somebody's brain, the King or a general or something?, back in its little slot, ala those little puzzle thingees. And boy I suck at describing old M Python routines, don't I.)

Such an excellent series. So much fun. Lots of lovely Xander and an Angel I can like, plus fun with Spike - even though I'm way unhappy with Giles' behavior. ::frown-y face::

Buffy was pretty darn pleasant to be around this time, though. Except for the cheap (albeit deserved) shot at Cordy. Is this after Cordy and Xander break up - do the others know yet they broke up?
