Whistler kinda did get kicked here. Verbally, anyway. As far as the seer offer... Whistler can't control/see/manipulate the destiny of a human. Humans get choice. However, if Xander went the Cordy route, he would be available for a little PTB manipulation. So, I think that offer was a little self-serving.
