I keep thinking that if this is an interlude in the HP canon it's nice that Severus had a bit of happiness with Faith before his death which only Harry truly lamented. Since she is an outsider she has no idea of who he's supposed to be and can like him for himself. Tomorrow, when it comes, will be difficult enough but at least they can enjoy now.
