Poor Riley. I like your Dumbledore, he seems to be the right mix of kindly and pragmatic. And Riley may be a snake, but at least he's still thinking.
This is a very different pace from your usual (if you have a usual, since, as I judge it, the story is always the driver for you) but I think I'm going to enjoy it.
