And, y'know...I'll never believe *Angel* doesn't feel some attraction on his own behalf, too. He'd be ever so much more likeable and easier to sympathize with if he just wasn't so prudish/self-righteous.
It's got to gall *both* of the A's to realize Xander was there, within sight and arms' reach all that time, but they were too blind to see him. *gloats* The shamanic power of sight is an excellent way to link Xander to Caleb's comment about being "the one who sees"; and it fits in well with how trouble-prone and demon-attracting Xander always was.
I really like how you make the differences between Angel-Angelus and Spike-William and his demon. I think William got the better demon from the get-go; at least it has some friggin' *sanity*. Jeez.
